Is Hiddify a VPN?
Hiddify can work like a VPN when VPN mode is enabled, but it is more accurate to call it an open-source client for modern internet access protocols. It can use VLESS subscriptions and other protocols, and it can also work in System Proxy or Proxy mode. Read the longer explanation in Is Hiddify a VPN?.
What is a VLESS subscription?
A VLESS subscription is a link that gives Hiddify the connection configurations it needs. You import it once with a QR code or subscription URL, then refresh it when the provider updates configuration. See What is a VLESS subscription? for the full breakdown.
Can I use my subscription on multiple devices?
Yes. The same subscription can be imported into all of your devices, including Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS and Linux.
Can I share my subscription?
Yes. There are no user or device limits. You can share your subscription with your family or use it on all of your own devices.
How much traffic is included?
Each subscription includes up to 200 GB of traffic per day. For the vast majority of users, that is more than enough for everyday browsing, streaming and work.
What happens when my subscription expires?
Your connection will stop working until you renew the subscription. To continue using it, open @simplelinkaccessbot, press My Configs and select Extend.
Do I need to import my subscription again after renewing?
No. Simply renew your subscription. Hiddify will continue using the same subscription. If needed, press Refresh in Hiddify to download the latest configuration.
Can I use another client instead of Hiddify?
Yes. Your subscription is compatible with any client that supports VLESS subscriptions. We recommend Hiddify because it is free, open source and available on every major platform.
Do I need VPN mode or System Proxy?
Most users should start with VPN mode, especially on Android and iPhone. System Proxy can be useful on Windows, macOS and Linux if you mainly need browsers and proxy-aware apps. The practical comparison is covered in Hiddify VPN mode vs System Proxy.
Why does Hiddify not connect?
The most common reasons are an expired subscription, stale subscription data, the wrong connection mode, a first-connection timeout or per-app routing. Start with Hiddify not connecting for a focused checklist.
How do I refresh my subscription?
Open Hiddify and press Refresh on the imported subscription profile. Refreshing is useful after renewal or provider-side updates. It is different from renewal, which happens in the bot. See How to refresh a Hiddify subscription.
Why do you not have your own VPN application?
Because you do not need one. Hiddify is already an excellent client. Instead of building another app, we focus on providing a reliable VLESS subscription that works with open technologies.
